On this day, in 1994, we were commissioning our very first facility, Saint-Paulin, a 8 MW hydro facility in Quebec. That was 26 years ago. Today, we own and operate a large portfolio of 75 facilities over three continents, with a total installed capacity of 3,694 MW. As we celebrate our 30th anniversary this year, we can only look back with great pride and see how far we have come. A trailblazer in the emerging field of renewable energy in 1990, Innergex has since become a respected global player in an industry that is part of the transition to a neutral carbon economy. This transition to a decarbonized economy is within our reach. Thanks to a talented and passionate team, we’ve been working daily, for the past 30 years, to build a better world through renewable energy. Thank you to everyone who has played a role in the Innergex story.

Securing the $92.8 million construction loan announced earlier this week for the Innavik hydroelectric project is an important project milestone as it will help finance its construction. Upon its commissioning expected in late 2022, the Innavik project will enable the community to reduce its hydrocarbons (diesel) consumption by more than 80% and lower its greenhouse gas emissions by 700,000 tonnes over a 40-year period.
Join Michel Letellier on November 23 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm for a virtual and networking event organized by Le Cercle canadien de Montréal - The Canadian Club of Montreal. He will talk about how, for the past 30 years, Innergex has focused its efforts on building a better world with renewable energy and his optimism about the future of the energy transition. The conference will be followed by a networking session. The event will be held in French. To find out more and register: https://bit.ly/3mWz5E4

Happy Canadian Waterpower Week! Did you know that over 90% of the electricity generated in B.C. and Quebec comes from hydropower resources, with a national average of 60%? Run-of-river hydro facilities are a clean and reliable source of electricity and are known to be a driving force for local economy where they have been developed.
