My latest art, "Tribute to Sol Invictus". Sol Invictus (Unconquered Sun) was the official sun god of the late Roman Empire and a patron of Roman soldiers. Many cultures worship our Sun in various forms. I was inspired by the idea of a sun deity, the worship of the life giving force of our star, symbolized in the central disk shaped in the form of a stylized flower.... My latest work, a piece of pure fun for a good friend. "Not my circus, not my monkeys" based on the Polish proverb "Nie mój cyrk, nie moje mapy", a way of saying one is not responsible for controlling or changing a volatile or delicate situation, or more simply, 'not my problem'. Thin copper sheet with plastic monkeys from taken from the game "Barrel of Monkeys".

My latest art. This plaque was commissioned as a 50th birthday present by a friend for her fiancé (also a friend). He is a firefighter with the Toronto Fire Service, badge 848. The helmet is a separate piece which sticks out from the main plaque. Having passed it through fire and left it without any protective coating, the helmet will continue to tarnish over time as an ongoing reminder of danger firefighters face on the job.... Plaque and helmet: copper, repoussé and chasing. Handmade frame: poplar.
