This is our vision becoming a reality. Rural communities that are self-governing and capable of identifying and developing the resources necessary for its pros...perity. The Tuhus community in Nissan have established an Early Childhood Learning Center at Tanatubok. Chris and Louisa Hannett generously donated their home which has been converted it into 4 classrooms. All the building, human, teaching and financial resources have been donated by the community. The Center has been registered and caters for 40 children. The 4 teachers are volunteers from within the community and the small allowance they are given has also been raised and paid for by the community. We are proud that the early childhood reading books, paints, crayons, craft supplies, toys and puzzles from our 2017/2018 book drive were donated to the Center. Congratulations to the Tuhus Community and a heartfelt thanks always to our Canadian donors. With the blessing of the Tremblay & Joseph family, Iroquois Falls, we dedicate the Tuhus ECL Center library to the memory of late Lina Tremblay-Joseph, for her kindness, love and support of the Tungol Library Project.
