Island Horsemanship by Jason Deuchar 08.01.2021

I am offering on site developmental training for all horses over the age of 2 years old. Once booked, I come to your ranch / stable for a free evaluation. During this evaluation my processor's are explained and detailed. My basic fee is $750.00 +taxes for one month of training per horse. The typical results for a "green" / unstarted horse; Start & stop on cue and command, walk, trot, canter and bending. A typical horse accepted for development is; halter broke, groomable and ...can have thier feet picked up. I was raised on a ranch in central Alberta. All animal husbandry being performed with the use of horses. My early influences came from life long cowboys; Earnest Grover, Davey & Mary Ann Peter's, Rob & Lynda Purdie, Ray & Dick Herbert, all ranchers and true natural horsemen/women. With that being said I was an advid reader of anything that had been wrote by Ray Hunt and with the modern video became a fan and follower of Buck Brannaman. My ideology is that there is no one horsemanship theory for all horses just one practical solution for each individual horse. I do not use lunge / jerk lines, carriage whips, bits or neat tricks, just sound, quiet fundamentals that rely on open communication and trust. See more
