As a public health-funded sexual health clinic, IWHC Toronto will remain open to provide medical access for non-Covid related urgent issues such as symptomatic ...STI testing and treatment, STI contact, UTIs, ECPs and BC product sales. With the majority of our clients being non-OHIP, we recognize the difficulty in those individuals getting service elsewhere. Toronto Public Health sexual health clinics and our sister clinics Birth Control and Sexual Health Clinic and Hasslefree Clinic also remain open for urgent sexual health concerns; until advised otherwise by Toronto Public Health, we will stay the course. Stay safe and healthy, everyone. See more

Hello all! Unfortunately, there is no physician for the clinic tomorrow morning, Tuesday, July 30th. We only have one physician from 1:00pm - 5:00pm; please come early to be seen and remember we only take clients until the clinic spots are full! Our apologies for any inconvenience and have a great day! :)

"In some regions, [Karen Segal] said, there are only a couple of points of access. For example, in Alberta there are only two clinics: one in Edmonton and one in Calgary. Requirements for a hospital abortion also differ across jurisdictions; provinces enforce their own health care legislation, which could include requiring a doctor's referral or gestational limits. Hospitals also often have long waiting lists." While we continue to make strides towards women's reproductive health, it's equally important to look at how many women across Canada don't share equal access to their reproductive health rights. Some women have to travel outside of their cities or province, adding in additional costs that prevent easier access. There is still more work to do! #abortion #reproductivehealth #publichealth #Canada #IWHCToronto
