With the majority of our clients being non-OHIP, we recognize the difficulty in those individuals getting service elsewhere. For anyone who is expecting, and living in Toronto, and might be interested in this, there are free online prenatal programs being offered by Toronto Public Health.

"In some regions, [Karen Segal] said, there are only a couple of points of access. For example, in Alberta there are only two clinics: one in Edmonton and one in Calgary. Requirements for a hospital abortion also differ across jurisdictions; provinces enforce their own health care legislation, which could include requiring a doctor's referral or gestational limits. Hospitals also often have long waiting lists." While we continue to make strides towards women's reproductive health, it's equally important to look at how many women across Canada don't share equal access to their reproductive health rights. Some women have to travel outside of their cities or province, adding in additional costs that prevent easier access.
