You wouldn't know it from looking at her, the carefree smile on her face and the warm, sunny glow surrounding her, but it was actually FREEZING out when we took this photo of our bride, Sylvia - so much so that I could barely make my fingers move to hit the shutter. We'll do everything we can to make you comfortable during your photos (provide you with warm layers, a heated vehicle, frequent breaks, etc ... ) but we LOVE brides who are willing to roll up their sleeves and ge...t things done on wedding day - even if it means temporary cold toes or the shivers. Hi, Handsome. In my experience, most grooms (and groomsmen) prefer a "one-and-done" approach to photo-taking ... until they see the back of my camera when I give them a glimpse of what I'm creating. I tend to then get a "that's sick" or "ok, cool" comment and then, all of sudden, I will humbly say, these guys are like putty in my hands, or, er, my camera. ;) Every wedding I shoot includes a timeless, classic portrait with a bit of a modern twist - like Hal here - and I prom...ise you, the process is painless. Nothing. I told the bride nothing. Because I didn’t HAVE to. We use dual memory cards in our cameras and set them to be BACKUPS of each other - so if one card is corrupt, gets lost or stolen (or falls on the ground and splits in two because of someone’s butter fingers ), your images are still safe (even BEFORE downloading) - and everyone is spared the grief. We do this for all our shoots - not just weddings. You don’t need to be a bride for us to know that your images are... valuable. That’s the peace of mind you get when you work with a professional photographer. Tip: Would this be reassuring to you? Be sure to ask your photographer what backup systems they have in place!

Patience is bitter, but its fruit is sweet. ~ Jean-Jacques Rousseau Trish, a certified health educator, author, holistic nutritionist and transformation mentor, originally had her branding session scheduled for Spring 2020 -- but Covid had other plans. After many reschedules, we were finally able to squeeze in a session in December 2020, just before our current state of lockdowns hit (honestly, what a year to try to get anything done!). The silver lining: the extra time a...llowed Trish to get super focused and super strategic with her branding plan so she could SMASH her session. The point? Look at the glass as being half full: Our current state can be discouraging, but if you’ve been considering branding, the Covid pause will give you additional time for thinking, planning and clarity. We can take all the initial steps needed now and then hit the ground running with precision when we can resume operations. We were able to photograph Eric before the current stay-at-home order. Good thing because in his industry - film and broadcast - his work world isn't hitting pause.
