Here is a photo organization tip for photos you take with your phone. It will make your life so much easier! The trick is to create a different albums on your phone that relate to the categories you post about most often. For example, if you are a business coach some of your content categories might be:... Productivity Tips Resources About Me Testimonials Coaching Services Every time you take a photo on your phone (or a screenshot of a testimonial) save it to the corresponding album. Let's say you take a photo of your desk showing a snack and water. This could go into your Productivity Tips album for when you want to talk about the importance of staying hydrated and nourished throughout the day. Or maybe you take a great selfie! Throw that in your About Me album and voila! Next time you need a great photo for an intro post it will be easy to find. Organization is key to saving time on your social media strategy. Remember that you should match your photo content to the post you are writing, not the other way around! If you find yourself scrambling for what to say in your posts let's chat about how I can help you get clear on your brand and refine your social media strategy so it is easier and more effective for converting strangers to paying customers. Send me a DM to learn more about my brand strategy coaching options!!! See more

A simple 2 step process for creating valuable content for your audience Step 1Create a series of polls asking your audience to vote on what kind of content they want to see more of. For example if you are a make-up artist you could ask:... What do you struggle with more? Applying bronzer OR Choosing a foundation What are you more curious about? 1:1 Make-up Tutorials OR Virtual Make-up Parties ...you get the idea! Step 2Take the most popular choices and create content for those topics that you can share in three different ways. For example, write a post, create a reel and do an IGTV or live video! Sometimes the simplest way is to just ask! ....so....what content do you want to see more of? What to talk about on Instagram OR What photos to use Let me know!

How to make the most of your mini sessions! Mini sessions are in full swing and will continue well into fall. I still have times available for my mini sessions on Sept 20 & 21! Details in Highlights, DM to book! Don’t forget the session includes a planning call with me to help get the most of your photos (this is very rare for a mini session!) It's pretty obvious that the more time you put into planning, the more you'll get out of it, so whether you've booked with me ...or another photographer, here are some tips to help you make the most of your session! 1. Mini sessions are about YOU. They typically include one classic head shot and lots of photos of your face. Think about getting your hair and make-up professionally done. This will help you feel beautiful, confident and polished. 2. Practice your posing and smiles in front of the mirror. 3. What are your brand colours? Think of way you can incorporate them into your photos. A piece of clothing? Accessory? Prop? 4. Limit props and/or products to two items. Mini sessions are short so you don't want to waste time going back and forth to your bag. The more time the photographer has to click, the more variety and the better the results. 5. Put thought into what you wear. You do not have to go out and buy a new outfit. In fact, I recommend wearing something you know you already feel great in. Consider the shoot location, the message you want to send, and who your customer is. If there isn't time for an outfit change, choose an outfit with layers and bring an accessory like a hat. You can easily, and quickly take off a jacket or sweater and add the hat to create a different look. Have any questions? Ask below! I'm happy to help! ( from branding session with @andrea.e.lane)

Why am I not getting engagement on Instagram? This is a question I hear a lot from new entrepreneurs trying to build their brands online. There are a few different reasons why you may not be getting the engagement you're hoping for. Consistency is very important for getting visibility on IG. It is better to commit to posting 3 times per week and stick to that rather than saying you'll post every day and then not following through. Instagram rewards consistency! ...Perhaps the content you're posting isn't adding any value. Remember you have to give before you can get! Share DIY tips for your customers or anything that will make their lives better, easier, happier, etc. They will remember you helped them when you are ready to sell your product or service. Don't be afraid to ask your audience what they want to hear more of. POLLS, QUIZZES, and QUESTIONS are great tools to use in your stories. It could be as simple as not having the right audience. If you've made any kind of pivot or shift in your brand, products or services sometimes it can take a bit of time to transition your audience over. Keep being authentically you and you will naturally start to draw in an audience that resonates with who you are & the messages you are sharing. You can speed up the process by actively reaching out to your dream customers and engaging with them on their accounts. Finally, adding simple prompts to your posts can also help. Tell your audience to like the post or add a thumbs up if they found it helpful. Or ask them to tag someone who could benefit from that post. Commit to using one engagement tool in your IG stories this week! Let me know below if you're going to use a POLL, QUIZ or QUESTION See more

I work best in a quiet environment. It really helps keep me focus, especially when I’m doing content creation/writing. That’s when my ideas really start flowing! When I’m doing a photography session though, I am not quiet!! I always encourage my clients to blast their favourite tunes and you will often hear me squeal with excitement when we’ve nailed a particular shot (see my BTS highlight on Instagram to see this in action ). How about you? Do you escape or embrace the noise when you work?

Now say it out loud "I am enough". You don't need to be smarter, thinner, prettier, richer, fill in the blank ______________. You can do, have and be anything you want, exactly as you are. ... ...and if you need a reminder, I'm right here. I've got your back my friend.
