Over the Thanksgiving weekend we come together and give thanks to our family, friends and especially our Junction community. A contribution towards the JFM Voucher Program will help make sure those who may face food insecurity in our community can also celebrate with a Thanksgiving meal. A growing number of Canadians are struggling to afford food. Food insecurity has been exasperated during the pandemic. Knowing this, the JFM Voucher Program has worked hard to provide more fr...esh local produce to families in our community this year than ever before. . Since the beginning of the season, the JFM Voucher Program has purchased over $9,000 in fresh food and distributed these food shares to over 200 families and a variety of non-profit organizations helping those in need in our community. . In lieu of a Night Market to help us fundraise this season, we hope you will consider adding a cash donation to your online order this week. A $10 donation will buy 1/4 of a community food share, $20 donation will buy 1/2 a community food share, and $40 a full share for a family! Simply add a donation to your market purchase and we will make sure the food is given to a family in need. You can also purchase JFM merch on our Local Line store. We are selling reusable shopping bags, canvas tote bags, t-shirts, and pint glasses! 100% of the proceeds from merch sales will go towards to the JFM Voucher Program. . Starting this Saturday (Sept. 5th), farmers at the JFM will be selling products live and in-person!! . If you’re taking a stroll in the neighbourhood Saturday morning, stop by to grab some fresh sustainably grown produce from @willo_wi...nd_farm or some fresh pasture-raised meats from @threeforksfarm. More in-person vendor sales will join in the coming weeks. . Strict social distancing and customer limits in the market will be enforced. Please wash your hands before you stop by (but we’ll have hand sanitizer on deck if you need a freshen up). You will not be allowed the touch any products you don’t purchase (duh).
