This ancient dog from Koptos is Hmw-mA Hemu-Ma, perhaps meaning "Ma, the rudder?". The dog is depicted in raised relief under the lion-legged chair on whic...h is seated a man facing left. The placement of the dog underneath the chair is typical in ancient Egyptian iconography. It does not mean that the dog is literally under the chair.... maybe the dog is sitting next to his master? HELLO TMVS COMMUNITY !! Much has changed with the dynamic of our home visit veterinary care since the start of 2020. Despite implementing the laws o...f social distancing measures and hazmat suits into our service provision, our entire team wants to assure you that this has NOT impeded our absolute love and care for our pets we see and above all, the guardians that we care for as well !! We understand our hazmat suits (and we do make a lot of people stare and laugh because we look like astronauts--we honestly dont mind putting smiles on peoples faces as we do what we love ), pre-home visit COVID-19 and post home visit COVID-19 disinfection process may seem extreme to some. We do it to not only protect the people and pets we are serving in the home, but the next home we go to that may house an elderly or immunocomprimised individual Here is our handsome almost 19 years young kitty named, Oscar who is just making sure our STELLAR veterinary nurse, Whitney has everything in order and safely put away after a recheck blood test was taken to ensure Oscars thyroid hormone values are normal and medications are working!! About 1 month ago, Oscars loving pet guardians Michael, Jeanette and Chris, booked an EMERGENCY home visit with us because Oscar was suddenly bleeding from his mouth, was very painful and could not close his mouth at all !! Pain medication was given and it was found one of his front teeth was wedged into the roof of his mouth for some reason !! In addition, a heart murmur was picked up from his examination and from a blood test he was noted to have hyperthyroidism !! Our veterinarian quickly contacted the lovely Veterinary Emergency Clinic #vectoronto and was able to speak to the AMAAAA-ZING Dr. Sharon French (dental surgeon) immediately and directly to arrange an emergency dental surgery that day !! Fast forward to today, Oscar is eating well, his thyroid is under control and he has put on weightYaaay!!
