This mid century modern home is now ready for stone, siding and stucco, all starting this month! The large windows provide an incredible amount of natural light inside, from all angles.

Our roofing and solar contractor @execonroofingandsolar captured some still images and video from a drone today. Note that the south facing roof is uncomplicated, allowing ample space for the solar array. Architectural details that add angles and curves are on the north facing side. The roof is silver colored steel, to help keep the roof cool, which increases the efficiency of the solar panels I am told. ... Hydro generation has exceeded 70 kwh on sunny days this far, with the best months ahead of us. Hydro usage thanks to the efficient Larsen building envelope, and equipment technology being used, is currently in the 17 kwh range per day. Its a cold windy day up here, but the guys are getting it done! Sloped ISO insulation board and mechanically fastened Sopraboard being installed....soon we will be dry inside!!

Fresh snowfall on the ground, house is looking very cozy. We have conducted a thermal imaging study recently on this Larsen Home. The performance of the the R62 wall assembly, and R100 attic, is living proof that investing in an efficient building envelope is worth every cent. That combined with the new Bryant air to air heat pump should make this an extremely efficient home.
