If a PRONG COLLAR means the owner could walk their dog everyday, why would you be against it? If the E COLLAR means the dog will be able to have a better recall, why would you be against it? If CRATING a dog means it wont destroy the owners house when theyre not home, why would you be against it? ... If a 2 second CORRECTION could make the difference between a dog swallowing something its not supposed to and possibly dying, why would you be against it? We all just want to make a owner and dogs life better. So stop knocking people struggling with their dog for being open to all options. Keep your options open. Its whats best for the dog. Isnt that what you want?

Today kai goes home to his family they missed him while on vacation. He will be coming back once a week for some fun basic puppy obedience.

Your Dog is Not a Baby! Todays culture is absolutely ruining dogs and as behaviourists we are seeing more and more preventable problems appearing not only at our facilities but in the public domain too! People are treating their dogs like children, and no matter how much you say it, or what you believe, they are not children. They are dogs... An apex predator with forty two teeth in their head and a bite pressure that can break bones. ... They deserve treating like dogs! Somehow treating your dog like a dog has become a taboo subject and its because of the warped, snowflake generation thats flooding the industry. Cant say no to a dog. Cant go in cold weather with a dog. Cant let a dog get muddy. Cant give a dog a job. Cant feed a dog raw meat. If your dog is in shape its too skinny. We are walking around in a world where giving your dog a job is cruel beyond belief but having a dog 30kg overweight with diabetes falling out of its ears is absolutely fine. Its warped and twisted and wrong. They are dogs! Treat them as dogs. You cannot take any pristine animal on this earth and pretend that its a baby. Oh hello, this is my whale, he is my baby. It doesnt work like that, and if you respect the dog, it doesnt work with them either. We have to push back on this snowflake mentality because it is literally killing dogs. Dogs are dying every day purely because nobody told them what rules they were supposed to follow or because they werent given a job they so desperately wanted. Lets start honouring our dogs for the absolutely amazing creatures they are. Dogs are magnificent, majestic, intelligent, robust. For me, they are the best animal on the planet so lets stop killing them and treat them for exactly what they are. Honour your dog. "Dont name it till you love it" Kai is 3 months old and hes here while his family is on vacation for 10 days. He will learn a down and some leash manners and some socializing and exposure to new environments. Hes a good boy he does his nights without making a mess in his cage.

Kai are new puppy in boarding with us for 10 days. He will be learning some new things for the next 10 days.

COVID REMINDER/DOG ANXIETY Your dog needs to stick to some kind of routine of you not being around at all times. The separation anxiety cases are already pouring in and I knew they would. Very important to continue to leave your dog alone as much as you can to try and simulate anything near normal life where most dogs are alone 8 hours a day. If you dont prepare for this your dog WILL have to deal with anxiety when everyone is back to school And work. Please keep working your routine training and leave the dog alone as often as you can so we can avoid as much dog anxiety as possible putting him/her in a crate in a separate room can also help.

There are several very important aspects to having your dog trained by someone else, 1, is the training tailored to the needs of the dog by someone with the experience to achieve the dogs potential and your realistic goals. 2, how is the control achieved by the trainer transfered to the owner. Shameless plug here, Im a professional trainer. To answer the first question ask to see their work, videos, their own dogs etc. For the second, what do they include with the package to get you involved to transfer the training to you. As a for-instance, I include a private session for each week the dog is with me and my basic package includes group obedience classes for the life of the dog. Most people meet their obedience goals with just the private sessions but in case people need more, group class is on me... for good.

Please dont let your off leash dog go up to a leashed dog. It is super stressful for the dog thats leashed as well as its owner. Most dogs dont like meeting on leash and can end in a fight because of frustration

Lea had minimum leash training zig zagging left to right but doesnt pull to much. She is learning to to properly walk on leash without zig zagging and tripping me flat on my face. Loose leash only a small correction. 0 pulling or zigzagging. She is a champ. Learning leash pressure and a nice peaceful heel in a walk

Honestly, after coming from a background in animals that are really bred to work and work hard, I find it absolutely insane what a large portion of dog world considers a quality animal. The sad thing is most "only purebreds are responsibly bred" people couldnt even explain to a total layman what makes an animal a quality animal. Not perfect or even ground but its a possibility for training and protection for our new PSA and American schutzhund club. We do have the indoors for the winter. My friend is the owner of this training facility and she is allowing me to build oir club here and have 2 days a week training. Day 3 they got to know each other threw a kennel and on a walkand now this is there first meet and greet loose in the yard.

Lea new board and training just arrive she is my bestfriends 11 and half month old American bully. Working on her getting use to small kids and older kids and environmental work and basic obedience so when she goes home to meet her little brother Zachary she will be well behaved

DM test sent and OFA xrays has been done today. Vet says he seems to have beautiful hips and elbows and should pass with flying colors.
