If you’re not living life the way you want then you’re doing it wrong. I know we’ve all been taught to go to college, get a job and then ... retire at 65. And then, only then, do you get to spend your days doing what you love. I’ll tell you right now it’s a flat out lie. That system is broken and was created to serve those in power. Bob Proctor says you don’t work for money. That’s the worst way to make money. When you’re trading your time for money then there is a cap on your income. There are only so many hours in the day and we all need to sleep so you are limited in how much money you can make. You work for satisfaction (doing what you enjoy that brings your life purpose and meaning), you create multiple sources of income to make money. If you’re curious how our family is able to go on an indefinite road trip, with no jobs or bosses to answer to, then I’d be happy to share what I’ve learned. Each morning we wake up when we want and decide what we want to do that day. You do not have to constantly drag yourself out the door every morning to a job you don’t like. If we are able to do this, why are you thinking right now that you can’t? I’ll tell you why. You have had a paradigm running your whole life, programmed in you since you were a kid, to work hard for money, pay your bills and don’t dream big because you don’t want to be disappointed. Time to change the paradigm. Time to change the program. You can create multiple sources of income in your life that keep working even when you’re not. #livefree

Mountain top experiences. They aren’t as good if you don’t take the journey yourself.

Me dealing with the day to day. It sure didn’t used to be like this. I allowed everything to control how I felt and what I thought. One of the greatest things I’ve done is learning the art of developing my mind. ... When we evolve enough that we are the ones controlling our emotions and feelings then suffering ceases. It doesn’t matter what’s going on around you, you choose how you see a situation. You choose how you respond (instead of reacting), you choose happiness or fear, anger, negativity. When you truly grasp this. When you finally get it that you create your world and your experience there is nothing more empowering. You’re not a victim you are a creator. Create an awesome life!

What do you think when you see this picture? Does it bother you that I’m on my phone while my kids are playing? I know there is this negative feeling about being on your phone and ignoring your kids. But I want to point out another perspective. I’m able to take a road trip travelling across Canada with no deadline to get back because of a job. I can go hiking all day with my kids and do a bit of work here and there as we go. ... I’m able to mix work and life together. I would rather have the freedom to go and live each day as I want taking snippets throughout the day to do work than needing to wait for my two week vacation and the weekends to live my life how I want. I may ignore my kids for a couple hours here and there to go on my phone for work but I don’t have to leave them for 40+ hours a week to go to a job that sucks the life out of me. Next time you judge somewhere for being on their phone, think twice - they could be changing the world one life at a time.

Every morning when this little girl wraps her arms around my neck I feel everything else melt away. It’s a gift to to create our days together, and one of my major reasons for doing what I do is for her. I want her to dream big and know that whatever she decides she’s wants to have, be or do is possible for her. I believe if she continually sees her mom ... face her fears, fail and get up, serve others, grow as a leader, show kindness and compassion, remain calm in the middle of chaos, show strength in a world of weakness, persist in the face of adversity, show love when others put forth hate... then she will be programmed for greatness in her own life and be able to go even further than what I will be able to do in my life time. They say there is no love like a Mother’s love. My greatest act of love to my daughter is to be the greatest woman I can be so she is empowered to be even greater.

If you don’t love your job, this is for you. If you are an entrepreneur who never had time to enjoy life, this is for you. If you stuck in a rut, this is for you.

Insights from a funeral and why we all need to ask ourselves the hard questions.

At the end of my life I want to be all spent. I would rather face my fears and make mistakes fulfilling my dreams than living a safe and purposeless life. Sometimes people may laugh at you, call you crazy, say you’ll never make it and claim it’s impossible. ... I’ll tell you something... Those comments come out, because of their inner battle they have. Their unhappiness for not going after what they truly desire. Their regret for letting their dreams die. You are a reminder of what they wish for their own life but are too afraid to go after. Live full! Die empty. You don’t want to look back at the end of this life and mourn the death of your dreams that never even breathed their first breath.

I've learned the hard way that there are no short cuts to success. I've messed up more times than I can remember. I've felt like the world's biggest failure. I've lost friends, wasted time and lost A LOT of .... I spent thousands of dollars trying to find an easy way to get what I wanted. But what I found is that trying to find a physical solution to a spiritual block, doesn't work. It was only when I started to really do the hard work mentally and spiritually that I began to experience what I wanted in life physically. As much as we would like to just press a button and have a million dollars fall in our lap, things just don't really work that way. And honestly, deep down you don't want it to work that way. And here's why. If you could just press a button and get a million bucks, you would miss out on the growth that it takes to be the person who earns a million dollars (or whatever goal it is you would like to acheive). It's kind like hiking to the top of a mountain vs. being dropped off at the top by a helicopter. Think of all you will miss out on: the developed muscles physically and mentally, the stories, the experiences, the memories, the adventure, the sights along the way, the laughter, the tears. Think of how much more you will appreciate and enjoy the summit if you climbed the mountain than if you just simply took the short cut. Who do you have to BECOME to live the life you want to live? That is the beauty of the journey. And if we can remember it's not a race to the summit and the joy is in the getting there, then that's when life really gets good and each day is a gift and a blessing.
