Just a follow up to yesterday's Nova Scotia announcement on border restrictions and purchasing real estate. Our Broker has just gotten confirmation from Nova Scotia Association of Realtors....... "Until at least May 19, this is not considered essential travel. For this time period, this restriction also applies to Canadian military and defence team personnel, RCMP, Coast Guard, Canadian Border Services Agency, and Canadian Security Intelligence Service."... Fortunately for me this has been my norm with most of my military house hunting trips thus far. However..... now it is "the" norm!!! Crazy time we are living in! If you have any questions please reach out. 902.840.3599 I still committ to making your move as stress free as possible!

You see the online listings and the for-sale signs, but there’s a lot that happens behind-the-scenes in my day-to-day. And I love every minute of it!! Here's what this week looked like for me #behindthescenes: Drove by 5 properties scouting out homes for a buyer.... Checked in on 2 recent client-friends just to say hello. 3 Zoom Virtual meetings with business colleaques and virtual buyers. Fielded 11 calls from current and prospective buyers and sellers. Created and scheduled marketing materials on multiple channels for a coming soon listing. Negotiated 2 offers in multiple offer situations. Prepped listing paperwork for a couple of new listings. Listing photoshoot with photographer Drafted and proofed documents for an upcoming closing and made sure lawyer and lender had everything and were happy! Attended a home inspection. Registered for a virtual continuing ed conference coming up this spring. Business planning and advertising. Worked on files for compliance and......... phew. On and on. Bust most importantly!!! Scheduled in a date night tonight and spent an evening with my munchkins too! If you need a realtor who will work around the clock for you, drop me a message. I’d love to talk and hear your story! #greenwood #realestate #annapolisvalley #love #novascotia #novascotiarealestate #novascotiarealestateagent #karensellshomes

Making your own wreath is surprisingly easy, requires little floral expertise, and can be more cost-effective than buying a pre-made one. Not to mention, you can dress it up however you’d like! Materials for your #DIYWreath: garland (a 20-ft one is quite standard) wire cutters... floral wire a metal hoop (or any other shape you’d like to create the wreath frame). Then, simply coil the garland onto the frame, layering it and wiring it all together as you layer. Then add any decor you’d like and voila! Have you made your own wreath? Do you have any insider tips to add?

Are you a buyer trying to navigate a seller’s market? It can be a difficult and confusing process, so here are some steps you can follow to find your dream home. Is there anything missing from this list that you would add?

Buying a home can be overwhelming there are many steps to the process and new terminology to learn. But hopefully, this list can help ease your nerves! Know your credit score (and perhaps how to improve it), get pre-approved (many forget this step), don’t make any major purchases (this may hurt your credit score), and don’t leave your job (your source of income). And the icing on the cake that will make the process a whole less overwhelming: Find a #RealEstateAgent you can trust!

Though there are trends that definitely should stay in the late ‘90s/early 2000s (like frosted tips), shelf organizers are not one of them! Pantry like it’s 1999 and use items like woven baskets, vases, and ceramic cups to organize your pantry. As an added bonus, your pantry will look aesthetically pleasing! #WinWin

#CurbAppeal can no doubt be hard to maintain during the winter, especially if you live in the colder regions of the world. However, it’s still very important especially if you’re selling your home this season. Unfortunately, filters don’t work in person so don’t neglect it!

Everyone knows to not leave holiday shopping until the last minute. But somehow it gets to that point anyway for most people. Are you one of the responsible ones who gets all of your holiday shopping done early? Or do you leave it to the last minute?
