This quote found me today and it is the perfect caption of my week as I had a number of conversations with different women throughout the week who were sharing what they love to do and already doing, women who have dreams of what they love and having the courage to take a step and women starting to reflect on this question ‘what do you love?’. ‘Welcome to Soul School’. I never imagined in a million years that I would be starting up a Soul School that explores and discusses universal themes that touches us all. When COVID-19 hit in waves, I knew it was time for me to step up and deliver a virtual space of revelations, authenticity and small group connection rounding off with beautiful heart-felt music. Technology has often challenged me (my kids can attest to that!), but it’s taught me to reach outside my comfort zone and deliver what I’ve felt the world needs more of ... less saboteurs and more soul. When we can slowly see the saboteurs that have seeded our minds and strengthen our spiritual muscle with personal faith, our soul grows with evolution. When we can widen our lens, we can see the beauty that surrounds and indwells within us all.

‘CAPTURE’ Every year since 2004, I write a little note to each child capturing the memories of their year and stuff it inside the silver envelope Christmas ornament to hang on the tree. To capture the year in a few words gives me a sense of reflection and awe and for them, a moment to cherish. Becoming’ Be Kind. Be Compassionate. Be Gentle. To Self. Our expectations, our conditions placed on oneself may validate our ego but bruises our soul of our being. ‘Spiritual Creativity’ The creative force isn’t only something you call upon to paint or what you invoke to write a poem. It is the driving force of the universe. It is the expansive and all-inclusive energy of the cosmos. It is the energy and intelligence that keeps the universe in motion. It transforms seeds into trees, embryos into infants, ingredients into food, and dust into vast and expansive galaxies. Creativity is the the inherent nature of the universe. Right h...ere, in this moment, new things are born; your breath, a thought, an idea, a bodily sensation. Something is coming out of nothing. ‘HELP ME’. Two of the most powerful words in the human language. It breaks through our ego and allows our soul to come forth. So happens, that these two words formed the most powerful sentence spoken by Duke of Edinburgh to the Bishop of Worcester in Season 3 Episode 7 in The Crown. Requires courage to speak and a willingness to ask but once spoken, opens the portal to be recognized of one’s readiness to receive. #ask #help #faith

‘HOPE’. The real spiritual challenge which we face is the strengthening of hope to the point where it becomes faith. Look for HOPE in moments in Life - not just in the shadows but also in the light. When you look for HOPE, you see HOPE. When you seek HOPE, you become HOPE. You become a beacon of hopeful energy that draws upon others around you to also look, see, seek and become. Slowly, the veil gets lifted and humanity begins to live differently, as HOPE gets infused into our mind, our thoughts and our persona. And TRUST that a piece of divinity resides within you in your mind for you to hang onto like an umbilical cord to your divine parent. ‘Do you see what I see?’ A dear friend took me out on a beautiful fall walk through the woods for a good 3 hours. Along the way, she stopped suddenly to show me a beautiful rustic tree trunk nestled amongst the carpet of rustic colours of fallen leaves . She pointed out to me and asked Do you see what I see? She told me she saw when a living thing dies, the soul leaves behind the empty core where it once resided leaving behind the physical matter. She told me it reminded her of what I told her once. ‘Seasons change. People change.’ After a month of feeling the impending change in my own life, nature is a reminder that change is a natural process of Life. There’s a period when I’m going through my own change that the feelings feel wavy as it changes moment by moment. One day it feels certain. Next day it feels less certain. But something in my soul is pulling me to let go of something familiar to embrace something unfamiliar. ‘TRANSITION’. As I go along my soul journey, there are thoughts that I need to let go of to embrace something new. What doesn’t serve me any longer and what does? In that pause is transition....just like the leaves in the background, we all transition to another state of being. ‘Connect’. Look at the pattern of circles across this piece of natural wood. A core circle with concentric circles rippling out. If this pattern represented our circles of relationships, what would your centre core circle represent? I’ve always thought of the core as our spiritual centre - our core relationship with a divine piece of ourselves that resides right at our core. Some may call it inner light, pilot light, divine fragment, Source, Creator, God. Regardless, the center of our being connects to an unlimited supply of a loving presence that carries us when a human being cannot. When our outer world of human relationship collapses inwards due to a loss of a loved one (spouse, child, parent, friend etc), connect and develop our core relationship with Spirit to inflate from inside out.

‘Sew the Seeds of Unity’. I was looking at the two creative projects I am involved in now and realizing that I am sewing seeds to unite two worlds. Life Chats is all about our human experience and the 7 stages we go through as we move along our life journey as a soul being. Soul School is all about our connection to our spiritual world and the love and wisdom that are here to help us on this life journey. Both go hand and hand. I am realizing I am building a bridge between these two worlds of Human and Spirit to better connect in Unity.
