On my easel today...playing with acrylic and spray paint so far I have a few paintings on the go and love dripping paint and playing with colour. I haven’t decided where these will go yet. When I was younger I was a perfectionist. My fear of making a mistake was so strong that I felt I had to be perfect. This stopped me from painting and doing art for over 20 years Now in my mature years I am giving my younger self permission to just play. Drip paint, use bold colour and just let whatever wants to be created to come to life! Anyone can be an artist!! If you believe you can and it is something that calls to you, that is your soul nudging you...for those of you that know me, you know that I have dreamed of being an artist for over 25 years...I even graduated from a 2 year art program twenty years ago. But after graduating, even though I had skill, I did not know who I was as an artist. I had finished the program (with honours) but was on my own. But all of my fears about never being good enough,... or being able to "make" a living as an artist creeped in. I stopped creating. I had my wonderful son and focused on being a mom and eventually helping others through my healing work. BUT my dream of being an artist NEVER went away. It was always there, in the background saying when are you going to listen? When are you going to follow your heart? It is never too late...Last year I came across this amazing program offered through the Milan Art Institute called the Mastery program. I am about half way through and so in love. I am on my way and each day look forward to creating. This program is taught online with the option of mentorship from amazing coaches. It is one year but you have two years to complete it, and is therefore self paced. So you can do it full time or continue to work depending on your schedule. It is open to all abilities. So even if you think you can't draw or paint you WILL learn how! AND if you are already an artist the Mastery program will take you to the next level. You will discover your voice as an artist, your super power, what you came here to express AND deepen your connection to yourself. You will also learn how to become a professional artist and make a successful living. This program is so much more than an art program...I can't say enough! So if you LOVE art this is the program for you <3 It took me to the age of 50 to discover this and I am so happy :) It is never to late and you are so worth it!
