APRIL 12th Today marks one year of KGFITNESS. I remember being so scared to launch my business because I was afraid of failing. I look back and think if I never took that leap, I would never had met the amazing clients and friends I have in my life today. ... I can’t put into words how grateful I am for everyone who has supported me on this journey, for all my clients I have worked with and continue to work with. If it wasn’t for all of you I wouldn’t be here. So excited to see where I will be in another years time

I’ve been trying to put into words how I feel about the gyms closing AGAIN, and debating saying anything at all but i feel it’s necessary. Yesterday was the last day at the gym for 28 days and it’s never easy to see the local gym have to close their business. This gym specifically takes precautions, makes sure everyone is doing their part and follows all protocols set by KFLA. Gyms are a place of happiness, positivity, where people go to keep their mental and physical hea...lth in check. It’s an outlet, it’s their safe haven and their second home. Yesterday you could physically see the mental health aspect in members, who are ‘supposed to be’ strong and healthy physical and mentally declining.. the energy was not there, knowing it was their last workouts they will have at a gym for who knows how long. LOOK GOOD, FEEL GOOD Today I was pleasantly surprised and happy with how things are going in terms of progress and with what I’m seeing when I look in the mirror. This isn’t to sound arrogant or cocky, and it’s not all about how you look. It’s acknowledging the progress I have made mentally and physically .. things I used to think I had to do to look a certain way or fit into society’s standards no longer matter. I no longer stress over counting macros to the last gram or ...doing endless amounts of cardio because I thought I had too. A quote that has stuck with me is; ‘you can love your body and be working to change your body simultaneously’. I preach to my clients that the best way to stick to your health & fitness journey is to make it your lifestyle.. this will be different for everyone.. find what you enjoy most and do that.

LIFESTYLE Something I always like to tell my clients is exercising and eating well is NOT all about the aesthetics.. sure it can motivate you but that will only get you so far. You have to do it because of how it makes you FEEL. I can tell you that the second picture I did not FEEL like myself, I was also very deep in prep and I have no regrets but just to give an example! ... You have to enjoy your workouts, enjoy what you eat or it will never last. And lastly, you have to be happy and comfortable in your skin NOW, because even when the number on the scale goes down or you fit into a smaller pant size, you won’t feel that satisfaction that you think you will. Workout for your mind and body, make it a lifestyle you enjoy and the rest will follow

THE YEAR OF PERSONAL GROWTH 2020 is almost over.. have you set your New Years resolution goals?! It has been 4 years since I set my New Years resolution and decided to change my life for the better. Despite 2020 being so chaotic, and so many unexpected events occurring, it’s been my best year in the fitness and health industry and my best year of personal growth!... I have so many people to thank for helping me get to where I am, the constant support and motivation, I wouldn’t here without these amazing people in my life (you know who you are) I am grateful for new business ventures, new friendships, old doors closing and new ones opening, it’s been a crazy year but I know the best is yet to come in 2021!! LIVE LIFE ON YOUR TERMS It wasn’t until this year that I started to live life on my terms. I have stepped outside of my comfort zone, stepped outside of others shadows, I have started to say yes to opportunities that I never would have and have truly began finding my authentic self. Starting my own businesses when lockdown started, (KGFITNESS & MONAT) I couldn’t help but feel nervous, scared of failure and scared of being judged for starting something new and being ‘that gi...rl’ to post her business on social media. I have learned some people will judge you, ‘unfollow/unfriend’ you, & some people will never understand your journey & that is okay! Stop looking for approval of others and start living life for yourself and what makes you happy! You will never reach your full potential if you don’t put yourself in uncomfortable situations or take risks.. that’s where growth occurs.

The best approach you can have towards food is finding what works best for YOU. (I will preach this about everything!!)
