Every year during the second week of April, the telecommunications personnel in the public safety community, are honoured. This week-long event is a time to celebrate and thank those who dedicate their lives to serving the public. It is a week that should be set aside so everyone can be made aware of their hard work and dedication. We encourage all of you to celebrate and honour our public safety communications personnel. #frederictondispatchservices

Does your home or business have security cameras located in the Kennebecasis Valley? In an effort to continue our commitment to public safety, the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force is excited to launch a new program which allows residents and businesses to voluntarily register the locations of any outdoor surveillance cameras they own. The registry will assist officers in quickly determing the location of security cameras that may assist in investigations.... When a crime occurs in your neighborhood, Police may contact you to ask if your camera captured any relevant footage. Police never have access to your camera equipment or feed and you can decline to participate when contacted. By registering your security camera, you can be part of preventing and addressing crime in your neighborhood! The registry is completely free and you will receive a free decal for your participation. The program is open to both commercial and residential properties. Doorbell cameras are also able to be registered as part of the program. Register here: http://www.kennebecasisregionalpolice.com/?page_id=1190

It’s National Volunteer Week, and we would like to give a huge shout out to the many volunteers in our communities! Many of our officers and staff volunteer their own time to advance community initiatives. We also have Auxiliary Officers who volunteer their time to assist our officers during the performance of their duties. THANK YOU! #VolunteersBringChange

Our values in action: Cst. Ryan Walker stopped to help students who lost a tire on Meenan’s Cove Rd this morning. We are told that he went above an beyond, that that those involved were so grateful! Thank you Cst. Walker for this display of compassion and professionalism.
On Human Rights Day, the CACP sincerely apologizes to Canada’s 2SLGBTQ+ Communities for the impact of a position we took in 1968 to oppose a decision by the federal government to pass the law which led to the decriminalization of homosexuality. Video: vimeo.com/489010404

It has been over 30 years since the murder of 14 young women at Polytechnique Montréal on December 6, 1989. This act of violent misogyny shook our country and led Parliament to designate December 6 as The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women. Our flags will be at half mast on Sunday as we remember:... Geneviève Bergeron Hélène Colgan Nathalie Croteau Barbara Daigneault Anne-Marie Edward Maud Haviernick Maryse Laganière Maryse Leclair Anne-Marie Lemay Sonia Pelletier Michèle Richard Annie St-Arneault Annie Turcotte Barbara Klucznik-Widajewicz As we mourn their loss and honour their memory, we reaffirm our commitment to fight the hatred that led to this tragedy, and the misogyny that still exists today. In Canada and around the world, women, girls, LGBTQ2 (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, two spirit) and gender diverse individuals face unacceptable violence and discrimination. Gender-based violence in Canada has been magnified and amplified by the COVID-19 pandemic. There have been reports from police services, shelters and local organization of an increase in calls related to gender-based violence across Canada during the pandemic. The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women is about remembering those who have experienced gender-based violence and those who we have lost to it; it is also a time to take action. Working together we can help prevent and address gender-based violence by remembering and learning from our past, listening to survivors, and speaking up against harmful behaviour.
This was so much fun KV3C! Thank you for inviting us to join!

Now that the alert level has changed to orange, the KRPF has started to step up inspections of public gatherings both private and commercial, to ensure compliance with the Emergency Measures Act (EMA). Violations of the EMA may result in the owner of the home, property, vehicle or establishment receiving a minimum fine of $292.50 under section 24(1)(b) of the EMA, or receiving court documents, compelling attendance at Provincial Court to answer to the offense, and a possibl...e fine of $10,000.00, if found guilty. This applies to both privately owned, or commercial properties or vehicles. On Saturday, November 21st, the KRPF along with our law enforcement partners conducted various checks of businesses in the Kennebecasis Valley. One individual was issued a fine for not wearing a mask, and two businesses were issued compliance orders in relation to their operational plans. #KRPFnb #SJPF #RCMP #Publicsafetynb #WorksafeNB
