To our patients, neighbours, friends and their families: We have been closely monitoring the corona virus (COVID-19 ) situation as we are sure many of you have. There's no need to panic as long as you’re following proper hand hygiene and following social distancing practices. We continue to follow the protocols from the Ministry of Health, Public Health department and IPAC. Current recommendations:... We are having ALL patients sanitize hands before entering the clinic. We screen ALL patients upon entering the building. - do you have a fever or cough? - Did this fever and cough start 14 days after travel? Or time around someone who has travelled? - Any travel outside of Canada in the last 14 days - Any time spent with someone who has travelled in the last 14 days Depending on the answers to these questions will determine our next steps. Self-screen If you answer positive to any of the screening questions, please do NOT come to the clinic. STOP. Remain calm. Begin self isolation protocols, And contact public health for the most up to date information and to arrange a time to be tested. If you feel your symptoms match our screening questions, regardless if you’ve travelled or not we ask you to NOT come to the clinic but instead to immediately self isolate and call your local health unit / public health to arrange a time with them to be properly tested. As much as we would love to be able to help every single patient that MAY be suffering from these symptoms we are not prepared nor set up for large scale quarantine and we want to stop the spread. Cleanliness We always follow top standards of cleanliness and sterilization of our entire office. We are completing complete office disinfecting throughout the entire day. As well as always continuing with our regular cleaning and sterilizing practices after each patient. We will keep you closely informed of any changes. REMEMBER! As always we are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of our patients, staff, and everyone’s families at home. Know that we at KENTE OTN WALK IN CLINIC are devoted to managing this difficult time the absolute best we can.
