Was fortunate to listen to Miles Copeland III brother of Stewart Copeland (The Police). He managed the band, as well as The GOgo’s Bangles and so many other bands who came over to US from the UK. Heard Rob Fusari speak about his time with Lady Gaga before she was Lady Gaga, Barry Cole speaking about his supervision experiences working with Spike Lee & Tyler Perry. The epic trail blazing Trailer making genius of Garrett Whoosh Castillo. And finally hearing about Nick Woods incredible odyssey from UK to Japan and back again - teaming up with Simon & Yasmine Le Bon to create SYN agency for advertising & sync licensing which has grown into a global entity innovating and creating around the world. Wow. Mind blown. So much to absorb.

Attending Sync Summit virtually all week. Highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about the music business. So many leaders in the field generously sharing of their time and expertise. Wow! Just wow. A huge shout out to Mark Frieser for all of the work he has put into this summit and to his amazing team including Moana and Amira. Really such a game changer. SO grateful to have this wonderful opportunity.

Some people come into our lives and create a special place in our hearts. A space filled with memories of laughter, teaching, struggle, warmth, selflessness, acts of kindness, endurance, humility, grace and so much love. The hard part is when that singular presence in your life passes on to the next part of their journey. When they move beyond the cares and suffering of this world and you can’t just pick up the phone to call them or drop in for a visit. That space inside you ...echoes with silence. You wonder that the sun still rises and sets, that peoples lives continue to move on. While the foundation of your own life has been shaken and changed forever. I’m grateful for having had my gentle, stedfast, faithful, generous, funny, humble and loving father in-law for as long as we had him holding that special place in my heart. Love you had for your family and modelled for your children and grandchildren is your legacy. Rest peacefully now sweetest George until we meet again. See more

Back in the pre-pandemic days of live theatre...it was such a pleasure/thrill/honour to travel eight hours to bring our Elliot Lake theatre company (ELATE) to give an award winning performance of Tempting Providence to London, Ontario for Theatre Ontario Competition. Best part for me was getting a chance to share the story of outport nurse Myra Bennett (my first lead role) with my family in London who wouldn’t otherwise have been able to see the show. Especially my mom who is a retired nurse. Both my grandmother and mom chose the nursing profession and I hoped to honour them through this story which is why I agreed to take on the project. Nurses rule!!!! This pandemic has highlighted the importance of all healthcare providers tenfold.

Written by Charlie Chaplin, the song "Smile" is so simple and beautiful. One of my fav's. Sending it out to you as we mark a year of living in this crazy global pandemic time.
