Thanks Holly and Sophia for dancing for the residents at Garden View Monday night. They loved it was fun to get out with the pipe band
As we are entering the end of June we would like to highlight our last graduating student. Today's graduating student is Dawson, her future plans, and her best highland dancing memory! Congratulations Dawson!!! Dawson's planning on attending the University of Alberta in the fall and she will be taking psychology. She doesn't have just one highland dance memory, "all of her highland dance memories are so great! She will always love our little class and the fun we had together."

Our dancers performed with the Kimberley Pipe band last night at Joseph Creek Care Village in Cranbrook. Thanks Ella, Braylin and Sydney for performing for the folks, they loved your performances!
Today's video feature's Natasha who taught Josh how to dance the fling! Great fling Josh!!! Also, a fun fact is that Natasha (who now resides in Victoria) was our guest judge for this challenge! https://youtu.be/gmKzHSrw8Rc
Our students have been busy participating in a weekly class challenge. They have been sending videos of themselves performing a dance or making up a limerick. The class challenges have varied from week to week and have been a great way for our students to put on their costumes and perform. I hope that you enjoy their video’s and limericks! Today's video feature's Sophia dancing a choreographed version of the Village Maid. The tune is not a traditional tune for highland dancin...g but was created by Scot Kortegaard of the Kamloops Pipe band and is called "COVID-19 Challenge." He generously gave it to us to use for our dancers! Thanks Scot! Sophia's also gave us a limerick! There once was a girl highland dancer Who knew touching wasn't the answer No dancing or hugging And no jitterbugging I wish she was a necromancer https://youtu.be/lROgkjiVvFg
As we are entering into the middle of June we would like to highlight our graduating students. Today's graduating student is Esther, her future plans, and her best highland dancing memory! Congratulations Esther!!! Esther's plans for September is to move to Lethbridge with a few of my friends and take the nursing course. I’m hoping to go into humanitarian nursing and journalism. Esther's favourite highland dancing memory when me a Lucy ate mucky fires before the spring fling ...and we thought we were going to die. And our kits wouldn’t fit. I have so many great memories that I will always cherish. I have absolutely loved every one I’ve had the opportunity to dance with and call my friend. I freaking love Liela Cooper and she will forever be one of my favourite humans. Her passion and kindness had inspired all of us to love dancing and love her! Thank you to everyone who played a role in my life through highland dance! See more
This looks SO fun!!!
