I couldn’t have said it better myself. This message is so incredibly vital. Cried watching it. (Prince EA always delivers such a powerful word)... Our children are getting short handed. Flooded with content and not enough context. Collecting dots instead of connecting them. A huge amount of potential sits on the table, years wasted rather than nurtured in profound and meaningful ways. So much that could be accomplished with a lot less pain getting there. Furthermore, I feel this generation of parents is struggling to parent and keep up, feeling pressured all around, partly because our education system is misaligned with the needs of today’s child. And Teachers are not to blame; they become victims in the process too. They choose teaching because of the mission; the vision of building a better future but have to practice this within a box. The most creative and engaged of them find ways to push the limits but are always, in the end, held accountable to the system. They, who have a responsibility like non-other, simply continue to be underserved in every possible way. This is the reason Kindzie originally began and the reason it needs to become more than what it is today... We can do better, we cannot afford to act as victims. We must speak up and make change where and when possible, every small step counts. Some institutions have started, but progress is slow, as expected for a system that has existed for so long, but it’s getting urgent. Parents, teachers, governors, lawmakers, politicians, everyone - I urge you not to be afraid to question the status quo, to challenge what no longer seems to work, to bring change where it matters most.
