Hello all I’ve been thinking up new ideas for Easter baskets and would like to know if there’s any interest in a basket of treats made by me? Priced at about $20-25 each depending on what exactly I come up with. So far I’ve thought of 3 chocolate covered berries that look like little carrots, 1 bunny butt chocolate bomb, 1 homemade kinder egg type of egg with a small toy or jellybeans inside, chocolate covered Oreos and two different types of Easter cookies. I was thinking if I could find a small stuffy to add that would tie it all together. Please let me know if there is any interest. I would only be making a certain amount and every basket will contain the same items the toys will be different/similar but I won’t be taking custom orders.

Hello everyone, my name is Terrisa King. Here is a little back story on me and how I got started with baking and decorating cakes. On my daughter's 1st birthday I had trouble finding someone to make her a cake, I wanted a Dora the Explorer cake for her. I had always had a love of art and I could draw naturally, just like my mom so I thought I would give it a go and managed to decorate a Dora cake using just a butter knife. From then on whenever my family members had birthday... parties I would offer to bring the cake to get more practice. But then I stopped for quite a while. Then one day someone had been looking for a cake on fb and my sister gave them my name. It had been years since I had done one and didn't want to disappoint. Hesitant at first I agreed to give it a go. I went and bought my first piping bag and tips and made a fabulous Toopy cake. The orders started rolling in. Over time I got a little bit better and then a lot better. I loved it so much I couldn't wait for people to place their order. One day I got a request for a cake made from scratch and I had never made them that way before. I started out with boxed cake mix and pre-made icing. I turned people away for the fear of messing up. I started losing business because of that. I finally decided that I should give it a go and with a lot of trial and error I managed to nail a recipe I loved. I also started making my own icing. When I first started getting orders for fondant cakes I was very nervous to try but I didn't want to lose business again. I practiced and practiced and got better over time. I know that my cakes are not perfect but I have come a long way in the time I have been making cakes and I make them with love I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has ever ordered from me and to those who continue to order time after time. Your business means a lot to me and I truly enjoy doing what I do. This is a hobby for me and something I do on the side of being an EA. But when I'm out of work for the summer the cake business sure helps keep food on my table from day to day. I have been thinking lately I never really told my story and on this page you don't really know who's behind it, unless of course you're a friend or family member. With all of that being said, I just made my daughter's 13th birthday cake last week!! Eek a teenager! I've truly enjoyed every late night, early wake up, long hours, stressing over every little thing, and then amazing myself at times, but most of all, the finished product that leaves my home and the messages afterward of how the child, mother, father, grandparent, friend or parter loved it. So again, thank you!
