Your eyesight is essential! Start your new year off right with a comprehensive eye exam. Optometrists provide an essential health service, and as such are able to continue seeing patients through the current province-wide lockdown. As before, we follow strict protocols for disinfection and safety. Book your appointment online through our website at your convenience! A staff member will then contact you for COVID-19 screening and to confirm your appointment. ... #kitchener #kitchenerwaterloo #kwawesome #eyecare #optometry #optometrist #EyeExams

Ontario’s Optometrists still need you. #DYK optometrists subsidize more than half of the province’s eye care system at a cost of $173 million a year? Then COVID...-19 forced optometrists to close their doors. Chronic underfunding coupled with the impacts of COVID-19 (patient volumes reduced by 50%) means optometry practices are significantly struggling to survive. Help optometrists advocate for a long term solution that protects patients and public health. Add your voice by sending a letter to your MPP. Use our template letter at https://saveeyecare.ca/

#tiptuesday - Are you struggling with lens fog when wearing your mask? You're not alone! Here are 3 tips for reducing fog on your glasses: 1) Make sure your mask fits! If your mask gaps around your nose and cheeks, hot air will escape upward, causing fog on your glasses. Try pinching the mask closed around your nose. You can even try double-sided tape if your skin isn't sensitive! 2) Try re-positioning your glasses. If you are able to, try wearing your glasses slightly ...further down your nose, and on top of your mask. This will also help to reduce gaping and hot air escaping! 3) Wash your lenses. Giving your glasses a thorough cleaning with mild dish soap and warm water may help reduce fog, as soap is thought to act as a surfactant on the lens. #lensfog #glasses See more
