With Mother’s Day approaching we believe many of you are thinking about how to treat your mothers, sisters, grandmothers and loved ones. During this COVID19 pandemic we are asking families to limit the number of packages and deliveries sent to the home. Please see the attached letter from our administrator as to what can and cannot be accepted at this time.

ADMINISTRATOR’s COVID-19 UPDATE: (April 3, 2020) Updates re what we’ve been working on: Staff are actively screened (with temperature checks) upon entry and exit to Labdara.... Residents are being screened for their temperature twice a day. We have secured more supply of masks. All staff wear masks during their shifts. Staff have been encouraged to only work in one facility. (Many on our amazing team have chosen to work only at Labdara.) If staff work in more than one facility and there is an outbreak at that facility - they are NOT able to work at Labdara. We are interviewing nursing students in hopes to increase our PSW staff in this way. I want to thank Labdara’s staff for doing a wonderful job caring for our loved ones. They have eagerly increased their shifts to prevent our needing to go to agencies to hire. Our staff are worrying for our residents as any family member would. Should anything change with your loved one, our staff will call you. They have taken on extra tasks willingly and with love, e.g. ALL staff (including housekeepers, managers, activities staff, etc.) are assisting with feedings, taking time to have conversations with all residents to keep up social interactions and work extra shifts to ensure standards of care continue. Feel free to get in touch with me with your concerns, questions or suggestions: email [email protected] or Phone: 416-232-2112 ext. 401. Aciu - Laura Puteris, Administrator.
