La Catalina - M5 Cabrera, Dominican Republic

Left the dismal dreary winter behind and landed feet first in the sunshine at La Catalina condo M5/6. Loving being at my other home, enjoying my winter friends.

Christmas is the light that brightens this cold, dull, grey sky that we Canadians are living under. As soon as Christmas and the New Year festivities are behind us I will be getting out my suitcases and packing in anticipation of a lovely winter in the Dominican. It is always beautiful at La Catalina. The sky is so blue in the day and the stars so bright at night. The ocean is a wonderful mix of blues and greens, the vegetation brilliant, the people warm and friendly. I can't wait to land once again on this beautiful island. I'll miss my friends and family here, in Ontario but I sure will not miss this grey sky. Why don't you all join me for a little sun and sand at La Catalina.

The photo albums include pictures that were take from the front and back balconies of M5/6. There is 24 hour security on the property. I have included a lovely picture of our friendly day time guard. There is a new cute little restaurant opened a short walking distance from the condo. The eldest son of the proprietor kindly escorted us back to the La Catalina property, in the dark, with a big flashlight. It is a very nice added service that makes us feel safe and well cared for. Playa Grande is a beautiful beach 15 minutes drive from the condo and serves up some excellent dinners on the terrace or anywhere you may choose on the beach. The highlight for me is the pina colada that you eat with a spoon right out of a pineapple......so good.
