Community Food Drive From now until December 22nd, our Food Stores in Big River, Paddockwood, Wakaw, Birch Hills, Domremy, Marcelin, Canwood, Kinistino, Smeaton, & Choiceland will be running a Community Food Drive. During this two-week period, members and guests can participate by purchasing a food item/s while shopping in-store to donate. A donation box will be set up in each location. ... Each of our participating Food Stores has partnered with a local organization to help distribute donations to members of their great community.

Check out this video below and you might just recognize a member of our Lake Country Co-op team! Brad Pallister and Jess Pallister-Dew (Brother/Sister Team) with Len Thompson Fishing Lures have been giving back to communities through their #fishingforfoodbanks2020 campaign. Three of many communities they stopped in on their tour was La Ronge, Prince Albert, and Nipawin where they gave back to the local Food Bank in each of these communities. In La Ronge, in partnership with ...La Ronge Wildlife Federation, they donated $1,000 in food, In Prince Albert they donated $1,000 ($750 cheque + 250 food), and in Nipawin they donated $1,250 ($1,000 cheque + 250 food). We are very proud to support this campaign by selling their lures in-store and thank you Len Thompson for giving back to our communities!

And the legend lives on! On August 15th, Alex was working when a customer pulled up to the pumps at Marquis C-Store commenting that her trailer was making terrible noises during her drive to the lake from Melfort. Alex filled the truck, washed all the windows and took a look under the trailer to see if he could ascertain what was making the noises. Alex spoke with the customer as there was some damage to the caliper. He had the customer pull off to the side and grabbed the ...tools from his truck to remove the damaged caliper so that it wouldn’t cause any more damage to the customers trailer while she continued on her way. This is another example of Alex being his friendly, compassionate self. We are very grateful for Alex’s skills, knowledge, and willingness to help. Alex is son to our 2nd Ave C-Store Team Leader, Ron. Ron has had his fair share of legendary service awards, and it is clear that legendary service it runs in the family. Way to go, Alex!
