One time I went to a women's business conference in San Diego and ending up sharing a room with @kateperkovic Turned out we were both from Toronto It didn’t take long for us to realize how weirdly similar our lives actually were (& how much we both loved Prosecco)... This new friendship led to long chats about the realities of women’s lives... specifically the things we usually aren’t so open to sharing on social media Mental Health Relationships Friendships Money Sex Wellness Business (the good, the bad & the ugly) Social Issues & the many day to day unpopular topics So we decided to fix that... INTRODUCING UNPOPULAR @wereunpopular A YouTube Channel, specifically dedicated to having the real conversations with real women, about real sh*t This has been a passion project on our minds for a while & we cant wait to share it with you! Sorry @bachelorabc... The only rose I'll be accepting this Bachelor Monday is a stem glass of rosé. Did you know, there are 3 primary ways to make rosé wine?? I've broken them down below 1 THE MACERATION METHOD - this is probably the most common method of producing rosé wine! It starts by leaving red wine grapes to rest in the juice for a period of time. ... 2 THE BLED METHOD - Just like its name would suggest, this method involves the "bleeding" of red grapes within the first few hours of making red wine. The juice that "bleeds off" is put into a new vat to make rosé wine! Napa and Sonoma-- regions known for making fine red wine, are also well known for using this method to create rosé. 3 THE BLENDING METHOD - this is the method that I think a lot of people believe is common practice for making a rosé. The truth of the matter is, it's not! This method, as you would expect involves blending red and white to make rosé. when a little bit of red wine is added to a vat of white wine to make rosé. Again, uncommon especially with still rosé wines but this method does happen in sparkling wine regions such as Champagne. Just the sip DID YOU KNOW Rosé wines touch red grape skins for around 220 hours. See more

" , ?" Since this is a question I get a lot... I am sharing my 2 favourite tips on how to best navigate the world of wine! : Change up the way you s for wine!... Ever feel lost walking around the liquor store, not knowing which aisle or region to go down? Or even which kind of wine to go for? My first tip is to ask for help! Find a private importer or someone who knows about wine to help you shop. Ps. there's also much more unique selection this way- the world of wine is much large than what is carried at your local wine store. : ...& . When tasting wines we want to SIP (not chug ). Take your time & take notes of WHAT FLAVOURS & FEELINGS you are tasting & experiencing- does your mouth feel dry? Do you smell or taste fruit flavours- like strawberries? Then make notes of YOUR PREFERENCE- ' dryness, red berry flavours. Based on that, we can draw conclusions on what regions & flavours we want to explore next. Remember... the more you taste, the more info we have to work with! & - & & ! Want your first 1:1 FREE wine consult? Super Tuscan Wine on my MIND heading into this weekend Super Tuscan is a term for RED WINE made with a BLEND of 'commonly' / 'internationally' planted grapes, but grown in Tuscany. Think Bordeaux, but Italian! Main used in this BLEND: ... - Merlot - Cabernet Sauvignon - Syrah - sometimes even a little Cabernet Franc = The outcome is powerful, oaky aged wine, generally alongside a big $$$. The Borgoforte from Villa Pillo is of my favourites (and comes in under $20)! What are you drinking this weekend? Need any recommendations? Let me know in the comments . #cabernetsauvignon #cntower #redwine #torontolife See more
