LNSC COVID Cup Week 3 is set and ready to go. Same start at the bench and finish down the slingshot to the v-boards. The race this week is the Shed-Wall-Extension loops.

EDITED TO ADD: It's not actually a pelican and it was in a Birch tree. So now you're looking for A PUFFIN IN A PINE TREE...... If you're struggling to find the pelican on the Jackrabbit Animal Hunt, apparently it's on a part of the gully where you might be going FAST. Keep your eyes open. On the left hand side ;)

The skate lane was touched up last night on Robert D'Aloisio trail, shed and wall loop. The classic track is shallow in some spots and should be skied with caution. Get out and enjoy some weekend skiing.

Don't forget we have two parking locations this winter to keep everyone spaced out as per COVID-19 protocols. You can park in the stadium lot OR hit the trails at the soccer field by parking in Lot G. If you're a member looking to park before 5pm, check out our parking instructions on the website so you won't be ticketed.

The groomer has touched up the skate lanes on the Robert D'Aloisio lighted trail, the gully shed and the wall. Trackset remains good. Use caution on the extension and Sofie's remains closed.

Reijo Puiras national team athlete/owner of Lappe Nordic, always said the snow will not stay until all the lilac leaves are of the branches. Well, last night we had wind and rain and all the lilac leaves are off the branches. Time to get all your ski clothing and equipment for skiing.

We finished our 2nd of two trailwork sessions today and despite some equipment issues we were able to get most of Sofie's Loop brushed. There is still a bit of work to do out there but we would like to thank the volunteers who came out the past two Saturday afternoon's and gave their time to help get the trails ready for the upcoming ski season. Thank you! You have helped make the trails better!
