Late night hangs with my girl @haileyhill12 One thing I’m a huge believer of, is just because your a blonde doesn’t mean you need to be bleaching your hair every appointment. This is circumstantial of course We like to keep things happy and healthy over here! ... Rather then a standard bleach re touch, or full foil, we talked about softening her blonde up, making it look more lived in, and dimensional. WIN! Dropped in a root smudge, and some partial low lights through out to break things up, add depth, and create something perfecto!

Melting over this up do I learnt in class yesterday! You know when they say stepping out of your comfort zone is where the magic happens? I am living proof that it is true! ... In the beginning of my career I was terrified of bridal hair...It made me so uncomfortable, it gave me so much anxiety, I wasn’t confident in it at all. Bridal hair was so far out of my comfort zone seeing me get booked with an updo made me cringe. Over the years I chose to step out of my comfort zone and stop being afraid of bridal hair. I leaned in and worked alongside co workers who taught me so much & mentored me on how I can become a better bridal stylist. & with that I flourished. NOW it’s my absolute favourite thing...it’s my one thing I can confidently say I’m DAMN good at! & we are all allowed to have a moment to say we are good @ something I chose to continue to grow and educate in this area because it’s important to me . Bring on all the brides, bridesmaids and special event hair!

Did you know the beauty industry is the 3rd largest waste producing industry?... yup I said it..... now read it again.... Trust me I didn’t know this either. Until today... What most people don’t realize is how much paper, plastic, foil, chemical, PPE & hair gets thrown into landfills on the regular.... & if it isn’t disposed off properly it cannot be recycled properly or bio degrade effectively. How cool would it be if you knew all that hair you just cut off , can be properly disposed of and used to absorb oil in the oceans? Or that the metal from your color tube or foil from your highlites, can be cleaned, recycled & melted down to make a bicycle for example. It’s pretty neat to me! As I become more aware of my environmental footprint, I’m happy that my efforts can also be utilized within my workplace. Which is why we chose to move forward using Green Circle Salon. This is all new to me & there will be more info to come! Just trying to make our planet happier one step at a time
