Golden. Just like that we emerged out of the mountains and onto the wide roads of what seemed to be an endless valley of farmland and ranches. We randomly pulled over and were only there for a few minutes, but this place comes up in my memory as one of the prettiest spots we saw. Such a contrast of landscapes throughout this crazy beautiful place I am grateful to call home. The rain is here but hopefully so is the snow!

Bucket list. This hike was on my bucket list and seemed like a bit of a next summer thing with all the craziness going on. 2 months later we set off with the sun shining and warm temps. We actually almost went back to the car and dropped clothes off because we felt over dressed. Maybe we didn't thank the weather gods loud enough because we quickly learned a lot can change at 7000ft.

Morning light. After a few days of rain and a well deserved night in a hotel we set off early for the days adventures. Always easier to get out of bed when the sun is shining. Ive said it a few times throughout these posts, this place blows my mind.

Stars. Takakkwa translates to "wonderful" in Cree. The full moon we saw the first night was nothing short of that. On the second night we saw a 3+ hour descent by some brave climbers down this sheer face. This does not look like a wonderful time. Everyone looked to get out safe. People are crazy.
