According to a survey commissioned by the Canadian Cancer Survivor Network (CCSN), 54% of people with cancer have had their medical appointments cancelled, postponed or rescheduled as a result of COVID-19. This month, we’ve partnered with other leading organizations for #NewNormalSameCancer, a campaign to raise awareness of this issue and the need for people to get back to cancer care. Don’t wait for things to go back to normal to resume treatment. Contact your healthcare team. Get checked. #NewNormalSameCancer

Have you or a loved one been diagnosed with CLL? Join our CLL facebook group for support, to discuss medications and side effects, handling the diagnosis and other CLL related topics. Cancer diagnoses in 2020 are down by approximately 40%. Not because cancer has gone away, but because of a disruption in care caused by the pandemic. The medical community predicts the disruption of cancer care due to COVID-19 will have lasting impacts that have the potential to further disrupt future care and treatment. If you’ve paused treatments or routine checks, it’s time to resume. Cancer doesn’t wait, neither should you. Don’t wait. Contact your healthcare team. Get checked. #NewNormalSameCancer
