Meet the 56 amazing teens who were elected by their peers this week to serve on our 10 chapter executive boards across Toronto & York Region for the Spring Term! These teens will provide leadership and direct support to our local chapters, consult with advisors, staff and community partners in charting the organization’s vision, and plan programs for hundreds of teens in their chapters and across our community over the next six months!

We asked teens what BBYO means to them: "BBYO is more than a youth group. It's friends from all around the world, and friends from right here at home. It's memories that will last forever, and fun times we never could have imagined. It's finding a home within Judaism, and the joy of learning more about our heritage. It's discovering confidence in ourselves, and the courage to speak up. It's leading with positivity and optimism, and not backing away from a challenge, It's wher...e I can be myself, and where I can work to make the world a better place. It's learning new ways to connect to people, and realizing that when we work together, we can accomplish anything." This Tuesday is #givingBBYOday, part of #GivingTuesdaya global day of giving back to our communities. Our goal is to raise $10,000 by uniting our entire community around a shared passion for the power of BBYO to make a difference in the lives of Jewish teens. We hope you will support BBYO Ontario on #givingBBYOday to help celebrate the impact of BBYO in our community. No gift is too big or too small. If you can help, please request a telethon call or make a donation today at bbyo.ca/giving as part of our #givingBBYOday efforts! Now more than ever, it is so important that we continue to strengthen our community and offer a meaningful Jewish experience to all Jewish teens. Thank you for supporting BBYO! bbyo.ca/giving

Today we mourn the passing of Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks, former chief rabbi of Great Britain. We celebrate his erudition, his wisdom, and his prolific authorship of works on Jewish thought. It was our honor to welcome him as a speaker at BBYO International Convention 2015 ... his words will never be forgotten. May his memory be a blessing and wisdom and legacy continue to live on. bit.ly/36h81su.
