I believe children learn best by given hands-on experiences to quote my favourite teacher Ms. Frizzle, children need to "take chances, make mistakes and get messy!" And in that spirit I am always searching out opportunities in our classroom for children so that they can experience learning hands on while proving a unique early learning experience, sometimes these moments arise organically and other times they are provided for children. This morning an opportunity for ha...nds on learning was provided to them directly through the process of turning cucumbers pickles! We will keep you posted when they are ready to eat in 3 weeks! ~ Miss Vos

Yesterday's trip to the firehall was a huge success! It left a lasting impression on our children and started the discussion about fire safety!
