When you're buying "100% Whole Wheat" be aware that.... 100% Whole Wheat as a description in a product, there is no guarantee that it’s made with all the fibre of the whole-grain intact. Health Canada allows companies to remove a fair bit of the fibre and still call their flour 100% whole wheat Having said this, whole grain products are far better for you and have all their fibre intact. They help keep blood sugars stable

Wishing everyone a very happy Thanksgiving! Eat lots of turkey and you will sleep well! Turkey has a high content of tryptophan, which converts to seritonin which then converts to melatonin and this helps you sleep :)

Prepare your meals ahead of time.... Take some extra time out of your week to prepare meals that can be made fast on days where you are busy and don’t have the time to cook. I’ll buy 3-5 lbs. of chicken breasts I'll marinate, season, and bake or grill all of them. When they cool, I bag 5 oz. per freezer baggy. In the freezer they go! Now I've got portioned cooked chicken ready to go. Now I can make a quick chicken vegetable soup or a chicken salad with avocado, or a chicken wrapit’s that easy! When you have meals prepared ahead of time, you will be prepared for that night after work when you have plans and don’t have the time to create your meal from scratch!

Improve digestion, stimulate your metabolism and boost your energy! Immediately upon waking each day, squeeze about 1/2 to 1 full lemon into an 8 oz glass of room temperature purified water. This is gentler on your body first thing in the morning compared to ice cold water. Make sure to use fresh organic lemons to make this drink, and not bottled lemon juice. You want to use fresh organic lemons

Controlling insulin secretion is the key to losing weight. And findings published in the May 16, 2007, Journal of the American Medical Association backs them up: Researchers from Children's Hospital Boston reported that people with elevated insulin levels were more likely to lose weight on a higher protein, lower carb diet, instead of a traditional low-calorie and high-carb diet.
