I love the spring The first crocuses in spring feel like a big warm hug, like meeting an old friend I haven't seen in years. I'm a passionate gardener. Every new shoot feels like a sign of possibility! I can't help but feel open, hopeful and inspired.... What does spring feel like to you?

Cooking and baking is how I show my love for my friends and family -- and never more so than at Christmas. With every batch of shortbread or butter tarts that come out of the oven, I remember my childhood and Christmases past. This year, each tart or cookie will take on a deeper significance. My intention is to create the joy, feel the connection, and delight in all the small things that make this holiday matter. But anyone who knows me knows that the salad always comes first!

Leadership is not just what you do for others. It's how you show up inside -- for yourself. It's bringing compassion to feelings that you're not enjoying or wish you didn’t have in the first place. It's knowing your strengths and giving yourself ample time to grow new ones. ... It's recognizing when your actions and choices are not aligned; then shifting gears. It's facing challenges in a flexible way, especially when you want to become more rigid. It's learning to be yourself: authentic, real, and ever-evolving. It’s knowing that doing this work comes before you can serve others fully.

Hard conversations feel hard because they are about something important. But having them builds confidence and self-assurance. Pick one you’ve been avoiding and do the opposite. Ask yourself, What do I want to create with this conversation? Then, Who do I need to be to create this? #conversations #avoiding #confidence

This view was waiting for my sister and me after a hard hike. But I loved how hard it was. We were on our hands and knees because it was so steep. When we got to the top, the sun was warm on the rock creating a mist. It was pristine, quiet and soul charging. Where do you go when you want to recharge? Covid means we may need to find new spaces. But let's do it. It matters.

I was very moved to receive this. This is why we coach!

I’ve been thinking about courage. The courage to send your children to school during the pandemic. The courage to create and work no matter what is going on. The courage to love with your whole heart. The courage to stand up and speak to what matters. We are in a time when each of us is being called on to dig deeply for more courage than we ever thought we had.
