I know, we sound crazy, but we are already thinking about CHRISTMAS!! Looking ahead to the holidays we know things will be a bit different this year, here are a... couple of ways you can help us get ready to distribute approximately 150 turkey dinner baskets at Christmas time. 1) Buy your turkeys early! Get them while they are on sale for the Thanksgiving holiday, this will help to ensure we have turkeys ready to pass out mid December. We anticipate that turkeys will be slower coming in this year, as many used to buy turkeys in Calais. 2) Join up with friends, family, or your hobby groups to raise funds and sponsor a food item to go into the Christmas baskets! If you choose your item early you have lots of time to watch the grocery store sales to get the best prices! 3) Ask your work place to consider sponsoring an item in the baskets or make a financial donation towards the Christmas Hamper program.
