On Thursday, September 17 (New Moon), we hosted our first Sunset Yoga & Fireside Reiki Drumming event. It was a beautiful and restorative evening of connection and flow (one that I needed as well!). The entire evening was extraordinary and for me, the opportunity to connect while laying on the ground and looking up at the breathtaking stars was something I won’t soon forget. I’m so grateful to all who were drawn to attend and join us. Many thanks to our guests, @sandy Irwin a...nd Kathryn Reid who shared their special gifts with us... to my 2-legged Dream team Andrea Storey and Stef Ly, who assisted with building a fire, taking photos and more...and of course, to the Freedom Herd for always engaging, surprising and delighting with their powerful magic and love. Here’s what Stef shared about her powerful experience with us on July 31, 2020 (shown with Apollo): The idea of sitting in a paddock, under a beautiful tree, relaxing on a blanket and listening to beautiful sound was what drew me to the Singing Bowls & Magic in the Paddock experience. At first, the horses went about their own business, in and around the barn, as we lay back and experienced the beautiful tones of each bowl as Alyson played. After a while, we could sense an...d then see the horses approaching; one by one they appeared, clearly drawn to the energy under the tree. Mena facilitated the session sharing the horses’ messages for all participants. I was most touched by the way in which one by one the horses fell into a deep relaxation, closing their eyes, and just being presentasking us to trust and do the same. When I first entered the paddock that day, I was flooded with anxiety, asking myself why on earth I would sit in a field with these enormous, powerful creatures. Feeling small and vulnerable. The experience with them brought tears to my eyes as a new understanding, through noticing, discerning and trust came throughwho are you not to be here? Peace and ease restored, their work was done, the horses were off just as they came, back to the barn. We also had the opportunity to try our hand at playing the singing bowls ourselves, as each participant had an opportunity for direct sound healing through Joy. It was a beautiful way to spend the afternoon, and experiencing my own capacity to release the thoughts that don’t serve me, while watching others shift their beliefs around themselves and their stories, was immensely valuable. ~ Stef Ly. "I had the pleasure of attending a Singing Bowls & Magic in the Paddock experience at Liberty Lane on July 25, 2020 with the Freedom Herd, Mena and... Alyson Joy. I indulged in nature, horses and musical sounds/vibrations. Mena and Alyson helped us in processing some of the metaphors and meanings, and the learnings from the resilience of the amazing herd of horses, each with its unique story. We could all relate. This experience was an unexpected therapeutic treat, a beautiful and unique approach to self care. Mena and Alyson have a kind, thoughtful, respectful and insightful approach.
