Don’t forget to get your pics in for the Meridian Beach Spring Clean-up! This year’s event will be a "Socially Distanced Spring Cleanup. It runs until May 24th. If you’d like to participate, take a garbage bag with you... on a walk, do some spring cleaning while you walk, and then post a picture with your collection on this page or send an email with your picture to the Board at [email protected]. Let’s make our neighbourhood clean and ready for summer!

Meridian Beach Cribbage Tourney! The Third Annual Scottage Cribbage Tournament is a go for Saturday, May 22 (the Saturday of the May long weekend). Given current public health protocols, we will be holding all tournament games online using an app called Cribbage Pro that you can download from the App Store for free.... Any questions or to sign up for the crib tournament, please email Kelsey Scott at [email protected] and indicate: Deadline is Monday, May 17th at 5pm. The Taco Monster Food Truck will be at Meridian Beach on the day of the tournament and it will be open to all at Meridian Beach (not just crib players) to come and support. The food truck will be parked at the Meridian Beach Hall and available for lunch between 11am and 3pm. Please make sure you try them out and support this local business! They will accept cash and credit cards.

With the changes in rules, a few people in the community have decided to make a communal order for the burger of the month on Friday, April 16th. This month’s burger is DELISH and $2 from each burger goes to Central Alberta Womens Emergency Shelter. Want in? She will get your total and take an interac transfer. - one big order will be put in (with food divided per family of course). Daren Schwieger has volunteered to pick it all up in Lacombe and bring it back to Meridian. We will meet at the hall parking lot at ~6:30 for to pick up food and go OR for a socially distanced tailgate party (each family can eat in the back of their own vehicle). Questions or orders? Are you missing a cat? Small, friendly intact ginger stripped male kitty found on the hill. He’s very fine boned, maybe a year old, at most. Very good with dogs and used to being inside. Has very unique identifying marks. If you are missing this lovely little guy, please call Jane at 403 809 8462

Boston Marathon at Meridian Beach. Hi All, Our very own Steve Parton will be running the virtual Boston Marathon this Saturday, September 12th at Meridian Beach. ... While Covid-19 prevented him from travelling to Boston last April to run, the Boston Marathon has created an opportunity for participants to run virtually. Starting at roughly 8am, he will run laps from Canal Street to Bridgeview Road, on to Summer Crescent and back to Canal Street to create his virtual run. Let’s help make Steve’s virtual run a memorable one! Feel free to put on your running shoes and run a lap, make signs, create water stations, tailagate, etc. It’s not everyday (if ever) that we get to be a part of someone’s Boston Marathon experience! If you would like to be at his virtual finish line he will finish sometime after 11am near 337 Canal Street.

Today is the day, folks. The Meridian Market grand opening. We're excited to welcome everyone to the new community hub, but we are still working out a few kinks. Please bring cash for purchases. Our digital payment system is still a work in progress. Hopefully see you soon :).

Meridian Beach, we'd like to introduce your Meridian Market, the most convenient, convenience store this side of Highway 2. Plus, we're opening a café that will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. (All with appropriate social distancing in place.) We open June 26th and will stay open for the summer months, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday through Sunday. We're really looking forward to becoming a hub for this one-of-a-kind lakeside community. So come say hi! Find us at the turn off from Township Rd. 422.
