November 2020 Mock Search

Thanks to all who organized and took part in today's Mock Search. It was a very valuable and successful exercise.

MGSAR would like to inform the public that we will be conducting a Mock Search at French Fort Cove on November 14, 2020. This type of training exercise prepares our team to assist when called upon for a search, and allows for hands on skill development for our members.

Miramichi Ground Search and Rescue has received new TMR (Trunked Mobile Radios) from the province of New Brunswick. On August 22 , Norman Macdonald with the Province of New Brunswick provided the team with a comprehensive training session to familiarize MGSAR with our new TMR radios and the TMR system in NB.

The Northeast District RCMP is asking for the public's help in locating a missing 34-year-old woman. Jenny McLaughlin was last seen at her home in Saint-Isidore... on July 15, 2020, around 4:30 a.m. She was reported missing to police on July 17, 2020. She is described as 6 feet (183 centimetres) tall and weighing 217 pounds (98 kilograms), with green eyes and short brown hair that may be dyed purple. She was last seen wearing black jeans and a hoodie. She is believed to be driving a white, two-door, 2007 Chevrolet Colbalt with New Brunswick licence plate GTE 196. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact the Tracadie RCMP detachment at 506-393-3000.
