New wood order in. Walnut, Cherry, Ambrosia Maple, and Maple.
Progress on my first end grain board. Just needs some sanding now. This is only about 8x8 inches, which is small but a good test being my first end grain, and using left over pieces of walnut and maple.
This small piece (hopefully 11"x 8" x1") will be planed tomorrow. Then I'll cut the pieces, place up, glue again, and then sand. This will be my first attempt at an end grain cutting board (highest quality board type). Definitely a longer process and more work, but ...
I have to touch up some of the epoxy, then a ton of sanding to do, but thought I'd wet these two down to see how they'll look.
This is a small, but gorgeous,12x12" (ish) walnut and cherry cutting board. We cut the rough cherry and walnut boards ourselves, planed and jointed, and put this wonderful board together. This is the first oil, and it should darken beautifully when fully completed. Look at that walnut design from the side!
New office sign. 24" round with mountain and sky scene made from cut birch.
Yeti mugs are expensive, and there's always a risk of the power going out, or communcations issue. Despite being a business that does not do "perfect", we strive to. My wife received this one (we did not engrave) from her work as a Christmas gift. A large, and expensive, Yeti mug, but the dot is supposed to be a (R) on the engrave. It should have been sent back to the engraver for a redo.
