Proof it’s not all messy buns, leggings and hoodies over here. This one goes out to all the momma’s who haven’t put make up on in a year. You aren’t alone, but maybe it’s time. To be honest, we don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day as a couple really, and I may have gotten all dressed up just to prove I still knew how to do my makeup - but let’s be honest, it took the whole dang day!... The last date night my husband and I had gone on landed me in ER hooked up to cardiac monitors, having a severe allergic reaction. I’m happy to report, last night’s date was a Benadryl-less Blast, which will henceforth be bar to which all dates are measured against. Not pictured: the crumbs at my feet, the dishes on the counter, and the Valentine’s Day cards and chocolate wrappers spread out from one end of my house to the other courtesy of my kids... Just because I would hate to give you the impression that I have my crap together. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!

I have been reading #bellletstalkday posts all day - this year has just added more crazy situations to navigate then when I wrote this article. As it has for everyone. This is something I wrote after a season where we were picking ourselves up and dusting ourselves off after some really brutal years, a significant burnout, and dealing with anxiety for the first time. Now, I find that the lessons I learned are helping me do the same once again. If you are eyeballs deep in dealing with anxiety, depression, burnout, or just trying to manage the stress that 2020 tossed our way, you are not alone. I hope you find something in here that is helpful.
