A MEMO from Mother Teresa ECEC and LCSD: Released February 10, 2021 Dear Families, Due to a City of Lloydminster water main break on the street, Mother Teresa ECEC will be closed tomorrow, February 11th, as there is no running water in our building. We hope that you are able to spend a warm day at home with your children and appreciate your understanding. We regret that school is closed and look forward to our K-2 students returning on Friday, February 12th. Our Prekinderga...rten program will resume on February 22nd after the winter break. Our LITTLE LEARNER PROGRAM is accepting registrations for 2021-2022 school year. Do you have a 4 year old excited about Kindergarten? At Little Learners, children learn through exploring play centres aimed at developing the whole child. This opportunity is for families with four year olds joining us for Kindergarten programming. LCSD BUSSING UPDATE It looks like next week will be cold one! As per our Division inclement weather policy we plan to have all routes run. Planned cancelations... occur once the temperature reads -45 degrees (this is not including wind chill). CREATE A PARENT PORTAL ACCOUNT However, it is important that all parents have taken the time to create a parent portal account and add their children to that account. If we have an unplanned cancelation, this is how we send out emails to affected runs. If you have not yet created an account please do so. The parent portal can be found on our website under school bus updates. https://lcsd.mybusplanner.ca/ NOTIFICATIONS AND CANCELATIONS You may also check on the website and go into delays and cancelations. It is important to note that this information is for students who ride LCSD buses and not Buffalo Trails or North West School Division buses. If your child rides a rural bus ensure you are familiar with their procedures. As always, when your children are riding buses please ensure they are dressed for the weather conditions.

Today we celebrated our first school mass of the year in partnership with St. Joseph School. Even though we couldn’t attend in person our students and staff followed along virtually. The Connecting Parents and Supporting Families organization is having their first meeting on Monday, September 28th.

We had a perfect Grade 1 Fun Fall Day Field Trip yesterday under the sun and amongst our "friends" learning and growing together. It's pretty amazing when you can learn ELA, Math, Science, Phys. Ed, Health, Art's Ed and Faith all in a hands on and inquiry based manner. #ThisIsLCSD #HandsOnLearning
