The winners of the Summer 2020 #MYTORONTO contest are here! Celebrate with us as we recognize the Top 16 winning photos from our second cohort: Peaceful and calming is how Lucie describes this photograph that was taken at Allen Gardens Park. It was late at night and the reflection of the light on the pathway is what first caught my eye. There was a mysteriousness to the way in which the trees and light posts lined the pathway, which instantly drew me in. I noticed a person... sleeping on the bench. While this person may have just been passing by, I hope it reminds others that changes can happen very quickly and that anybody can be touched by poverty.
