In June we shared an article about an amazing initiative called "Backpacks of Love" Our Church in North Bay served as a drop-off site for the Compassionate Com...mittee for the Homeless in their efforts to provide for the community in North Bay. Recently, a New Apostolic Member, and Compassionate Committee member, Rebecca Wiesel Riesen shared this picture with us of all the backpacks the committee was able to put together! It's such a joyful sight and we wanted to share it with you! Those without a home were heavily affected throughout the past couple of years. While many of us were able to comfortably "stay home", others had nowhere to go, and due to the pandemic, they were faced with more difficulty. Expect the Unexpected November 15, 2021 Sometimes you can plan for opportunities to serve others, but sometimes situations change unexpectedly. Your plans fall... apart, and you begin to look for God's plan in the midst of changing circumstances. That is when it gets exciting. All of a sudden you realize it isn't about you and your plans, but about God and what He is up to. Life takes on a fresh expectancy as God begins to reveal His plan. Where is God stirring in your circumstances? What is He up to in your life? See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.Isaiah 43:19 Prayer: God, You have a way of changing things up just when I am getting used to the old way of doing things. A desire for security and stability tugs at my soul, but You are the untamable God who beckons me into the future You envision. You are my security and my guide, and I will follow where You lead. In Jesus' name, Amen.
