Nancy Cuff Fitness 26.02.2021

It is no secret that my nutrition has fallen out of my little red wagon and landed in a muck hole I am well aware of the extra weight I have on and how uncomfortable I am feeling both physically & mentally ... Today I am committing to getting my nutrition back on track. I know I can’t out run my fork so I do not know why I keep sabotaging myself with eating everything (YES, EVERYTHING) in sight I am focusing on foods I love and foods that give me the best possible nutritional value. I don’t believe in depriving myself of foods I absolutely love so I am working to include them into my meal planning without sabotaging my nutrition I am keeping a food journal and writing down EVERYTHING that I put into my mouth - this is the only way I can stay accountable to my nutrition and it will give me a reference to look back on to see what works and what don’t work for getting the best results Here goes...Day 1 - Brunch: 1/2 orange, 2 boiled eggs, 2 slices Turkey bacon, 1 English muffin, 2 tsp PB * Not in the photo because I ate it at 7am while packing Watson’s school lunch - 1 piece of cheddar cheese. I got this! #noexcuses It does not matter where you are...you can always get a workout in! ... I booked a private gym session in at the hotel this evening Just me and the treadmill and ALL the weights I ran 5km plus I got some loaded squats & deadlifts in I am determined to reach my goals so I take my workout routine/programs with me - no excuses! All I need is wifi really - a gym at the hotel is just a bonus Since my husbands flight got cancelled this evening I booked another private gym session for 7am #geterdone ...but I didn’t bring extra gym clothes so I guess it will to be the same sweaty outfit in the morning

Today I completed my 100km in January Challenge My medal arrived in the mail yesterday - labeled ‘do not open until 100km ... I joined this challenge to help get me through the winter - small achievable goals to work towards the bigger goal - to help get me outside more and to get my body moving. So far so good! I am getting outside a minimum of 3 days a week, I am moving my body and I am slowly starting to feel my mood brighten I am excited to continue moving forward and adding to my km - my year end goal is 2021 I got this! Small achievable goals #igoterdone

I love to eat and I do struggle to eat healthy Most days I couldn’t be bothered to cook even though I know that would be the better (healthier) option ... How do I get pass this and make the healthier choices for myself and my family? It takes a little kick in the butt on Sunday to do some meal planning/prepping - a couple of hours on the weekend to set out a plan for the week means less time in the kitchen during the week and healthier meals for myself and my family Supper this evening was plain rice with chicken & veggie stir fry. Both the rice & chicken were prepared on Sunday and the veggies from a frozen bag. This took no time to make! I simply reheated the rice and threw the chicken & veggies into the wok with some stir fry sauce until it was heated through #suppercomplete Less time in the kitchen = healthier choices & a happier mom If I can do this so can you! One of my goals for 2021 is to get outside more (at least 3 times a week ) If you know me well you know that I am a summer girl born in the winter and I would be quite happy to hibernate until the snow melts But I have made a commitment and I WILL stick to it! This afternoon I got outside with my girl for a little fresh air & a little walk - good for both of our mental wellness and helping me reach my 100km in January goal ... Winter 2021 I got you!
