My Reiki Story: I suffered a concussion when I was a teenager, that resulted in many head and neck ailments that traditional chiropractic and massage therapies could help but not cure. In mid-20’s I had a couple of whiplash accidents, and eventually by my late 20’s had a horrific roll-over car accident one evening on black ice up north resulting in serious neck and head trauma and severe conc...ussion. In fact, I had a near death experience during the accident that forever changed my life. I don’t remember much during my recovery, the first 10 days being cared for by my mother who would made an excellent nurse. She and I trained in Therapeutic Touch 10 years prior to this, no doubt she was doing healing touch on me all that time, I feel she pulled me from the depths of disability. As time went on, I suffered chronic pain, poor sleep and physical stress as I coped to raise a family and run a practice. Many days, I was stuck in bed unable to move. I searched and tried everything I knew of in the alternative world to heal: craniosacral, chiropractic, massage, acupuncture, osteopathy not for lack of trying, I was determined to heal the trauma, and I believed it was possible. I started meditation in my 30’s and it helped. I also began to study and practice Qigong to activate the healing potential of my body, this also helped. It wasn’t until my 40’s that a I started to study and understand the Quantum Field and Energy Medicine. I took many courses, did all I could to heal. Still, I was improving but often struggled with head and neck pain that was very difficult to function with. One day I saw a Reiki Master-Shamanic Practitioner and it changed my life forever. My understanding of Universal Life Force Energy took on a simplistic but profound understanding. It was a deep process of healing the emotions connected to the events and balancing energy in the body, it demanded an authentic look at who and what I was, what I wanted to be and finding the truth of who I am. Through a mystical sequence of events and healing sessions I finally HEALED. I had found my answers in energy medicine and this set me on the path to become a Reiki Practitioner and Master. In my practice, I am pleased to welcome and share the same support and healing opportunity I received for those willing to pursue the energetic aspects of healing. Healing is coming into wholeness, mind, body, mental, emotional and energetic. If you are interested in supporting optimal health or open to healing yourself from stress, physical and emotional issues that negatively impact your quality of life, I invite you to a series of Reiki sessions. Becoming the highest expression of who you really are, healed and whole is my desire for you.
