I have a great opportunity for anyone who has been considering taking my Anger Management Course. This Thursday evening, from 6:30-9pm I will be conducting a free introductory to Anger Management through Zoom. There is no cost to this, as it is being sponsored. In Thursdays course, we will be discussing what anger is, what creates an angry person, looking at individual behaviours associated with Anger, Costs and Benefits of Anger, Creating an Anger Log (plus a few other impo...rtant areas to help understand anger) This is only an introductory course. If you feel that after taking this course, that you do struggle with anger, then you are welcome to take the second part of the course (there is a cost) which teaches you about your triggers and how to overcome your anger. You don’t need to take the second part of the course if you take the introductory course! Although, if your interested please please sign up soon as there is a limited number of spaces and we already have people signed up!

I am proud to say I won gold! I have to admit, I don’t usually take too much out of these awards because I see people post in groups having members of the groups all vote for eachother. But this time, I didn’t strive for votes and I still won Gold. Even more humbling is that the other winners in my category are all agencies. Therefore more staff and more potential for votes. I am the only lone person winner! Although, the agencies who won do amazing work and I’m extremely pr...oud to even be nominated in the category let alone in the winners circle with them!!! I love my job. I am honoured my clients trust me on their journeys. Seeing my clients empower themselves is indescribable! Thank you to everyone who voted for me. I’m humbled. This is my 5th year in a row winning this honour!

I’ve just been informed that I made it as a finalist in the Spectator Readers Choice Awards for best marriage, family and individual Counselling! I didn’t even share during the original voting so expected to drop out of the category this year for the final round- yet here I am!!! Thank you to everyone that voted for me and got me into the finals!! If I have ever helped you to deserve your vote, l want you to know I’m grateful and honoured that you brought me along on your journey.

Thank you CBC Hamilton for supporting Friends 4 Kindness and highlighting our Zoom Unbirthday Party being held on July 25th at 1pm!! We want to have an afternoon of joy and celebration for kids who struggled with connections before the pandemic and are hurting even more now during the pandemic. Most of our friends only have connections while in their classrooms. Without school, they have had nobody to connect with for months. ... Let’s make this an afternoon they will remember! If you know any performers interested in joining our online party please have them reach out to me! An Important Update Message Regarding COVID-19 We at Bayridge Counselling Centres join millions of other health care providers around the world in being concerned about COVID-19. We care about you our clients as well as our cherished staff.... Therefore, we intend to be wise and proactive in securing the health and safety of the people in our communities. The Bayridge call centre will continue to be open; however, our face-to-face service in our offices will be shut-down for a few weeks in accordance with Ontario Health’s suggested COVID-19 social distancing strategy and replaced with phone and/or video conferencing counselling sessions. Video conferencing sessions have proven to be very effective in therapy sessions and can guarantee no interruption in the important flow of your therapy treatment.
