As the COVID-19 situation continues to develop, we have had to make some tough decisions, which are in keeping with our liability insurance provider, provincial guidelines, and federal guidelines. As of 12pm Tuesday Mar. 24th, no lessons will be allowed, and the only people allowed to exercise horses will be insured trainers, boarders, or staff. Boarders will be allowed to attend to their horse but coordinate a time with Diana Lewall ahead of time, as there will only be two b...oarders allowed on the premises at any one time. Junior boarders are permitted to have one adult accompany them. Please wash your hands thoroughly as soon as you arrive on the premises, and use disinfectant on anything you may have touched that will later have to be touched by someone else (gates, stall doors, pitchfork, etc), and then wash your hands prior to leaving. There will be a bucket of disinfectant located inside the entrance of both barns. If you are sick, or have travelled outside the country in the past 14 days, or have otherwise been required to self-isolate, please do not come on the premises. Let's please all work together through these challenging times. These are not decisions that we make lightly. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

We were thrilled to have Sandra Sokoloski visit us for a clinic on March 7 and 8. Sandra specializes in biomechanics for horseback riders. All our riders had a great time and we can't wait to have her back soon!

We may have had to end spring camps early, but we still had time for crafts!

In light of the recent COVID-19 developments we will be shutting down our school string lessons and spring camp lessons until further notice. However, as it is necessary for the horses to be exercised for their well-being and the safety of my staff who have to handle them, boarders and leasers will still be allowed to ride, and coaches will be allowed to coach those riders, provided they do their best to mitigate risk in their lessons. Again, we ask you to not come to the farm if you have been out of the country in the past 14 days, have been sick (even if you think it's just a cold), have been in contact with someone who is sick, or if you're recommended to self-isolate. Please message us directly if you have any questions!

In light of the developing situation re COVID-19, Oaklands Equestrian and Hunt Valley Farm North remain open for the time being and we are taking extra pre-caution cleaning common surface areas. We ask you to not come to the farm if you have been out of the country in the past 14 days, have been sick (even if you think it's just a cold), have been in contact with someone who is sick, or if you're recommended to self-isolate. We are closely monitoring the situation and changes may be required depending upon further recommendations from the relevant government authorities.
