Last week 8 JOI members volunteered at Food4Kids and packaged 519 Welcome Back packages of books and things to do for children supported by Food4Kids. It was limited to 4 packagers for 2 hours at a time due to COVID restrictions relative to social distancing space. Great job JOI! #joi #chooseoptimism #Food4Kids

We have a selection of Fraser and Balsam firs and Scotch pine. Our trees are grown by Somerville Nurseries, southwest of Barrie. PURPOSE: All funds raised go towards supporting youth activities in our community. During this special time, our young people need to stay active and connected. Our Optimist Club makes this happen! LOCATION: Our tree lot is located at Dorval Crossing East, east of Dorval, just north of the QEW. We’re right next to McDonalds. SAFETY: All trees sold this year will be wrapped. Customers are asked to wear a mask when they visit our tree lot. We will maintain social distance. PAYMENT: Payment at our tree lot will be cash or cheque. OR you can order and pay on-line. Fatima, a former JOI member and current YPOC, is a tremendous person to ask questions about the medical field, McMaster or anything about how to navigate through university. YPOC members are hosting a virtual question and answer session for JOI members on November 2nd.
