A sad day, but a huge legacy.

Today, Scot delivered the great news to Ann Marie Clark, of Steve Marshall Ford, that her ball had won 2nd Prize in the Running of the Balls fundraising event last week. Through the generous support of Ann Marie, and many other friends here in the Nanaimo area, we were able to bring in just a little under $10,000 for local youth initiatives. After delivering our good news to Ann Marie, she immediately endorsed the $500 prize cheque back over to the club, wanting to ensure that that her contribution impacted as many as possible. Cheers to you Anne Marie, and cheers to you Nanaimo, for once again showing that the spirit of Rotary, the spirit of giving, is abundant in our great community.

In 2018 our Rotary Club with contributions of other clubs in the District partnered with the Rotary club of Sunyani East providing very needed medical equipment for maternal and child health needs in seven hospitals in the Bono region of Ghana. I am very proud to say I have visited these hospitals and the Dr's, nurses and administrators were most grateful and sincerely overwhelmed with the equipment. Rotary International has now acknowledged the completion of this project. Melissa joined our club in the spring and has already jumped in with both feet. She is eager to be involved in community projects and her son has already been involved in two RYLA sessions centered around leadership and growth. Welcome Melissa.

Richard joined Rotary in 2012 and our club later. We call him our Minister of Fun, he is in charge of all club social events. Thank you Richard your doing a great job keeping us entertained.

Veronica joined our Rotary club in early 2019, she is our President Elect in July 2021.

Brandon joined our club in 2018, he brings a quiet contagious passion to the group. He is currently our Foundation Chair and believes in the efforts of Rotarian's both in our community and around the world.
